Enrollment and Attendance FAQs

Who is eligible to attend eSchool Prep a Texas College and Career Readiness Academy (eSchool Prep)?

Any student in grades 5–11 who resides in Texas is eligible to enroll in eSchool Prep.

How many of my children can I enroll in eSchool Prep?

Because eSchool Prep provides the lesson plans and teacher support, many parents find it easy to enroll multiple children in the program.

What does it cost to attend eSchool Prep?

Because eSchool Prep, an online program of Texarkana Independent School District,  is a public school program, there is no tuition. Families are responsible for providing common household items and office supplies like printer ink and paper. In addition, families must have access to a computer and the internet to successfully complete the lessons. Based on financial need and eligibility, eSchool Prep may loan a computer system (including computer, printer, and software) to support the learning process. Our enrollment consultants can help address your technological and computer questions and needs.

What is the attendance policy?

As Texas public school students, all students enrolled in eSchool Prep must comply with the state-required minimum number of 180 instructional days.

Can I take a vacation during the school year?

The school calendar includes school holidays, or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days as there are many throughout the school year. Parents are encouraged to contact their teacher if they have a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar. All students are required to attend state testing during the eSchool Prep testing windows.
